Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter, and musician from England. He was one of the members of One Direction. Born at Holmes Chapel (Cheshire), England, on 1 February 1994, he is the son Des Styles, and Anne Cox. Harry Styles, a former student of Holmes Chapel Comprehensive Schools Holmes Chapel Comprehensive Schools was the founder of a band called White Eskimo along with three other students. In 2009 they participated in the Battle of Bands where thanks to their outstanding performances, they were winners. Although he has always been interested in music, he also interested in becoming an attorney or physical therapist. To support his family, he spent some time at a bakery. Harry Styles auditioned for The X Factor in 2010, and was a part of Is not She Lovely, an iconic Stevie Wonder song. He got selected. His band was forced to break up due to this. Nicole Scherzinger told Harry Styles, Liam Payne Zayn Milik Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson that they'd form a group named One Direction after the X The X. The formation of the group began in 2010. The five young people were supported by Simon Cowell. They performed tracks like My Life Would Suffer Without You which was written by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. They were one of the candidates for the prize. However, they finished third place behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles, his group as well as Cowell did not win the competition. But Cowell offered Harry Styles a 2 million dollar contract with Syco.
