Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu, an American voice actress, producer, and performer is also an actress. A beautiful and smart actor, she is an example to numerous Asian actors that want to become famous in Hollywood. Following a string of early appearances in some popular series she gained fame after joining the cast of the comedy legal series Ally McBeal where she played the malicious Ling Woo. It was a moment of fame that led to movies like Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. She then delivered a superlative performance as Japanese crime lord, O-RenIshii in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. Also, she portrayed leading roles in films that failed at the box office, such as Rise: Blood Hunter. In the following years, she started to voice prominent characters in animated films, such including Kung Fu Panda and Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's role in Cashmere Mafia, a small screen feature, failed to yield positive results. A recurring role in the critically acclaimed police drama series Southland has helped her reestablish herself as an established actress. Liu chooses her roles carefully to prevent being stereotyped in an industry that's highly competitive. She's accepted her Chinese background, but doesn't let it restrict her creativity.
